    Nicholas leverages his broad experience across agricultural value chains in Consumer Goods Companies, and his real desire to transform global agriculture, to deliver on Indigo’s mission to create a world that benefits farmers, consumers and the environment.

    Over 15 years, in multiple roles, on 3 continents, Nicholas has had the privilege to work in the upstream supply chain of the world’s leading brewing companies, most recently ABInBev, working in global procurement in Zug, Switzerland. This unparalleled opportunity has allowed Nicholas to build regional and global sourcing teams responsible for billions of dollars of spend with some of the world’s largest agricultural companies but also directly from 10’s of thousands of smallholders farmers across Africa, Latin America and Asia. The varied roles have provided Nicholas with broad experience having also been active in setting-up commodity risk management functions, leading R&D teams including plant breeding, building & delivering on corporate sustainability strategies, localizing agricultural supply chains and trading agricultural commodities across the world.

    Nicholas holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Cape Town and an MBA from the Gordan Institute of Business Science in Johannesburg, South Africa. Nicholas has lived in 5 countries, across 3 continents and therefore privileged to see and experience the world from many different perspectives. When not working Nicholas is usually outside running, spending time at home with his family or, season permitting, out skiing in the Alps.
